ZACK LIM who is well known as the “Guru of Concrete Floor Cracks” in the Asia flooring circle is a seasoned super flat floor specialist whom passion is to constitute best practices in the construction industry by coalescing both theoretical and hands-on knowledge into work cultures.
Zack has amassed over 35 year experiences as an innovative building contractor who constantly strives for excellence in delivering works of the highest quality to all his clients. He soon gained recognition as a highly reliable and sought-after building contractor and was awarded to build numerous factory for multi-national companies like Western Digital, Flextronics, and Nestle Distribution Centre. By virtue of being a preferred factory and warehouse contractor, his reputation in this arena began to grow and was inevitably asked to construct flooring that commensurate with his quality building works, concrete floors which require better flatness and levelness for high racking. In 1998, he began his foray into the super flat flooring industry and he decided to focus and specialize in the construction of concrete flooring that are conspicuously better, more professional than the ordinary floors in Malaysia.
Under his stewardship, Zacklim Flat Floor Specialist has constructed numerous notable flooring jobs in Malaysia for IKEA, Tesco, Carrefour, Giant, Proton City, Intel, SMART Tunnel, LCCT, KLIA2 and many others. In the international market, Zacklim Flat Floor Specialist has successfully completed concrete floors of world class standards in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, India and Qatar and has built its name as the preferred super flat floor specialist in these countries.
Today, floor specification and finishes is getting popular due to higher demand and expectation by owners, as such it is important to understand the different types of floor standard and how to specify the right floor specification. Realising that there was a growing demand for high quality concrete floors in the Malaysian market, Zack has been enthusiastically involved in promoting how to build good floors and extolling the virtues of best practices both in designing and building world class concrete floors.
In his pursuit in establishing the best practices in concrete flooring which involves in-depth analysis and understanding of the peculiarities and properties of concrete, Zack has then inaugurated Academy of Concrete Technology Sdn Bhd (AoCT) in year 2014 to inculcate professionalism and best practices into the industry by conducting seminars and talks with his motto of “Learn and Do It Right”. Over the years, AoCT had received plaudits from participants who came from around the globe. One of the most remarkable sentiment given by a participant was – “the knowledge shared by Mr. Zack is a treasure that cannot be gained nowhere or even be bought by gold”.
Zack believes, to work optimally, business units within an organization and industry must work in concert with each other, and this only happens when there is communication within the people.
